Joel's Birthday Cake

I learned how to do this from Betty Crocker's website.  They made it seem like it would only take an hour.  After 3-4 hours, I knew they were full of crap.  I then finished 3 hours after that.  But we also gave Joel a train for his birthday.  It was pretty fun.

And here are a couple more pictures, just so you miss us too.

Oh my gosh what a good job!! That is such a cool cake!! Did Joel freak out when he saw it?? That is so great!! Hilarious about Betty Crocker being full of crap.. dude, so like.. man, I wish I would have been home with Alida when you were just 'across the street' from us.. what do you and Joel do all day? Well, it helps that you have a backyard.. but man, I am just out of ideas! I feel bad that I don't have more things for Alida to play with.. I don't know. Anywho, Joel is SO BIG!! What a stud, I love his cute smile in that last picture!! SO CUTE!!

So I went to Jo-Annes tonight to find fabric to make you a nursing cover, I seriously spend an hour in that store and walked out empty-handed.. don't know if I'm going color blind but I didn't see very many things that coordinated/looked good together.. I'm going to check out Hobby Lobby next, I hear they have some good stuff. What is your due date again? I promise I'll make this and send it before you deliver, I'm so excited to make it!! Just wish I could find cute fabric. Maybe I should look online for some discount fabric or something. So do you have names yet for the new little one?

How's your new ward, do you like it? Ours is.. interesting, I guess a lot of people have been out of town so it seems SOO SMALL (we've only been 2 weeks at it), but the people are nice :)

Wow, this is one huge 'comment,' I should have just emailed you I guess. So how did that HOA meeting go? How are the Bushmans? How's life?
